  1. EDWARDS FAMILY REUNION NEWSLETTER

The 87th Edwards Family Reunion will be held on the lawn of the Old King William Courthouse on Sunday, August 14, 2016 beginning at 3:30 p.m. Members of all families related to the Edwards Family and anyone interested in the Reunion are cordially invited to attend. In case of inclement weather (rain or heat) the Reunion will be held in the Main Lobby of the King William County Administration Building behind the Old King William Courthouse. Bibb Edwards will be giving a talk entitled “The Edwards Estate: Fact or Fiction”. Come and hear what he has discovered!
Bring some of your favorite covered dishes to share as well as a card table and chairs. Drinks, plastic utensils, and paper products will be provided. We will eat after the meeting, and Mark and Jesse Townsend will be bringing games for the children! There will be a new mailing list available this year. If changes to the mailing list are needed, such as contact information (address, phone number, email address), name change or if there are additional family members, please let me know by August 1st so that I can update the list before it is printed. My email address is below.
Also, please bring copies of your priceless photos so we can add them to our scrapbooks! In addition to the scrapbooks, we have a family photo album containing photos of many of our ancestors and their homes. Look and see what we have gathered. If you can add to the collection, please do!
Caroline's Journal has been going strong for two years now, and there is one more year to go. Bibb launched the website in June, 2014. It is the journal of Caroline Baker [Ellett] Littlepage, of King William County, Virginia, from 1 June 1864 to 22 June 1867. In case you've missed it and are interested in learning about what she and her family's lives were like in the county during and after the Civil War, you can catch up at: http://thelittlepagejournal.com
Our Edwards Family Reunion, King, William County, VA website is at: http://kwedwardsreunion.blogspot.com Click on the link to see what is there, and send me suggestions of what you think should be included. However, I have not worked on it during the past year, having other projects to work on. If I hear from you, that will encourage me to start working on it again!
The King William County Historical Society Museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. and during the week when the Clerk's Office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. There is no admission fee to the Museum, but donations are greatly appreciated! Stop by before the Reunion to see what they have in their collection!
SAVE THE DATE! Please share this notice with any family members who may not be on our mailing list and encourage them to come. We are always glad to have new family members and anyone interested join us! Bring your entire family, and enjoy an afternoon of great food, fun, and fellowship!
